Summer has got to be my favourite season; tanned skin, late nights, long days, BBQs, beer gardens, summer dresses, big shades, short shorts, flower power and of course FESTIVALS!

Festivals are great because you get to spend a whole weekend hanging out with your friends, listening to great music and getting pretty fucking wasted. My personal favourite thing about festival season though has to be the excuse to go shopping!

Look Out For The Boohoo Bus In Your Area

Boohoo have been touring the UK in their bright pink Boohoo bus to spread the word of their new festival range, I headed into Manchester City Centre today to go see the Boohoo gang and get a sneak peek of some of the new range in person. I was not disappointed! Not only was the bus awesome (Its PINK) but the team were also giving out goody bags and the lovely ladies on the bus were giving us complimentary manicures whilst we were browsing (well in between… no smudged nails here!)

I immediately fell in love with the festival range! denim shorts with lace, bright colours, Aztec prints, tropical prints, chunky jewellery,  tie dye, big shades and JELLY SHOES! I pretty much came straight home, spent a good hour online constantly adding to basket 🙂 Roll on payday!

Holy Fuck I Have Grey Hair!

It was one of those poor months (we all have them) and my roots desperately needed doing. I was trying to avoid bleaching my hair so I bought a blonde home dye kit (who shall not be named, because it was my fault for not reading warnings). After applying it onto my hair roots first then all over as usual, rinsing and drying I looked in the mirror and burst out laughing, then started crying…

I attempted to Style it…

My hair had gone grey, like Richard fucking Gere GREY! but not just that, my roots had managed to go blonde and I had a lovely purple sheen. So yeah, I cried a bit, I called my hairdresser, I searched the web an I called in sick at work… Yes I am that vain.

After scouring the web for what felt like an eternity, only to find out that a) I’m a fucking idiot and b) It wasn’t an easy thing to fix and could be potentially expensive. I was getting ready to give up. It was at this point i stumbled upon an article saying that citrus acts as a natural stripping agent when applied to hair.

I NEED LEMONS… STAT!

Squeezed Like My Life Depended On It

I squeezed the juice of 6 lemons and mixed it with some leave in conditioner/hair mask (2 part lemon, 1 part conditioner) and after mixing it I pasted the mixture onto my head and left it on for between 2 and 3 hours… whilst praying to the hair fairies.

Low and behold it worked!!! My roots were still blonde and my hair was no longer grey/purple! I was just blonde again! 😀  All Praise the hair fairies and of course, well done lemons.

PLEASE learn from my mistake, always read the warnings e.g.. Ash tones don’t mix well with previously bleached hair 😉

And If You know anyone who needs some Hair SOS, don’t always listen to yourhairdresser, the internet is amazing!

I discovered ‘White Girl Problems’ after seeing Ashley Benson tweet about the sequel [ @AshBenzo ] ‘Psychos’. After finding the book on amazon I knew I couldn’t wait to read it after just reading the blurb; Seriously, check it out!

I’m not usually a fast reader but I was so hooked I read it in just 3 days (I’m usually more of a chapter here and there/ 2 months kind of reader) I just had to know what she was going to do next! and lets face it with chapter titles such as;

• If I like him, he’s probably gay
• My vagina is bullshit
• I hate my horse
• it’s 5:15. How much weight could I lose by 8:00?
• I need a therapist to talk to about the problems I’m having with my therapist

How could you not want to just carry on reading until your eyes sting! After reading ‘White Girl Problems’ I immediately pre-ordered ‘Psychos’ (you lucky bitches won’t have to wait now though because it was released April 29!) and again I read the book in a matter of days.

Babes story begins after she finds herself in rehab after having a major meltdown in Barneys and spending a crazy (even by her standards) $246,893.50 in one shopping trip. I’m not going to tell you about Babette because you just HAVE to meet her for yourself, honestly, she’s a peach!

 I don’t want to go giving anything away because her stories are best heard coming from her. The way the books read, you fee like Babe is actually talking to you. I related to her in so many ways, we all know someone like Babette, we all wish we could shop away our problems, have hot chefs make us detox smoothies,  go out on to the clubs any night you liked and of course we’d all love to just runaway to a country of our choosing because we felt like it (or because we were being stalked… whatever)
